Notes about Model 4P serial boot.

• A small piece of cardboard, wedged in, can also be used to keep the right SHIFT key depressed.
  

• A diskette inserted and closed into the drive, helps the serial boot to occur faster.
  

• For the fastest transition to serial boot mode, do the following
  
  1. Insert any floppy disk in drive 0 and close the door.
  2. Depress and hold [right shift] and [enter] keys,
     (middle finger on shift, index finger on enter)
  3. hit [reset],
  4. while continuing to hold [right shift],
  5. briefly release and depress [enter],
  6. then release both.
